5th Annual Conference American Association of Wine Economists


Dear Colleagues and Friends,

on behalf of the Local Organizing Committee and the American Association of Wine Economics (AAWE), I would like to extend a warm welcome and invite you to visit the city of BOLZANO, the ALTO ADIGE wine region and the DOLOMITES, for the 5th Annual Meeting of the Association, from June 22 to June 25, 2011.

The conference will be hosted by School of Economics and Management at the Free University of Bolzano and will offer a very attractive scientific and social program. It is the annual event highlight of the AAWE where fellow wine economists have the opportunity to share their research results in front of a wide audience of enthusiastic academics and wine professionals.The annual AAWE meeting has established a reputation for of critical and high quality research and discussion in an open and friendly atmosphere.

The social events are planned to allow the blending of networking among participants and the exploration of the beautiful city of Bolzano within the Alto Adige wine region and its stunning scenery in the Dolomite Mountains as well as its picturesque wineries with their outstanding wines.
